Learn to play the instruments that make up the infectious Brazilian rhythm called Samba! This class will introduce you to instruments like Surdo, Agogos, Tamborim, Chocalho, Caixa, and their associated rhythms. Over the course of this 4-week class, you will be introduced to these instruments, their respective rhythms, and begin to play them as a group. This class is designed to prepare you to join our longer 8-week Brazilian Percussion Techniques class. This class is open to all.
No need to bring any instruments even. The school will have drums in the classroom, all you need is a smile and free hands!
