This class will provide opportunities for continued study on the piano, further fundamentals of piano technique, music theory and exercises to do on your own. Basic sight reading skills required. Each student will have their own keyboard in the classroom and every student should have a piano or keyboard to practice on at home. Each week a different lesson will be presented, reinforcing rudiments of music coupled with time for each student to work on their own repertoire and level of playing.
This class will focus on Alfred's Basic Adult All-in-One Course, Book 2. This is a multilevel class. Students can be on page 1 or page 100. There will be group study and discussion and then individual playing time.
Students should have a good handle of the basics of the piano and music, treble & bass class, left and right hand isolation, sharps, flats and rhythm theory.
