Join Carlos Cornier for 8 weeks of excitement and fun as you explore Latin rhythm and percussion. This is an introductory class that centers around the conga, however you will also be exposed to bongos, timbales, bata, surdo, cowbell, guiro, shakare, and other Latin percussion instruments.
Learn patterns based on Cuban, Puerto Rican, and Brazilian rhythms. Not only will you learn how to connect to the rhythms, you will explore the basics of reading rhythm and discover the history behind it all.
This class is open to beginners to music in general and current musicians new to Latin percussion. Carlos guarantees if you can walk and count to 4 you can join this class, be successful, and have fun!
