Chilean Dance Workshop with Conjunto Folklórico Horizonte

Join members of Conjunto Folklórico Horizonte (see World Music Wednesdays 9/12/12) as they teach la cueca, the national dance of Chile. The visiting masters will give a brief history of the dance and then demonstrate four styles of cueca (nortina, chilota, central, and brava) to live music in regional dress. There will also be a description and demonstration of the instruments of each region.
