You can expect to be tapping your feet by the end of this workshop. French Canadian music is very lively and the feet play an essential role in the sound of the music. Learn French Canadian repertoire from Quebec including reels, jigs, and waltzes. Debi and Elizabeth took second place in the fiddle contest finals this summer as the band "Just Bob," and played all French-Canadian tunes. They will be teaching some of the tunes that they played for the contest. The workshop will be presented at an intermediate level so some familiarity with fiddle or violin will be useful. Tunes, bowings, and foot percussion will all be covered.
