Spirituals

Join in the singing of spirituals from the African-American tradition. The songs that were born of oppression and lament have become powerful and joyous. We will tap into “field hollers” and laments as well as call and response and partner songs. Harmony singing will be a part of this class, but the ability to sing harmony is not required.
