Core guitar classes meet once a week for 90 minutes (then join all the other classes in the concert hall for the Second Half). There are class options every day of the week — one is sure to fit your schedule.

Guitar 1: Skills
Your musical journey starts here. Learn chords, simple strums, and tuning in a fun, relaxed group setting. You'll be making music in no time.
Guitar 1 - details and schedule
Guitarra En Español 1
Guitar 2: Skills
You'll learn new chords and ways of playing and how to connect them with bass runs, arpeggios and using a capo. Discover rhythms and pick out some melodies.

Guitar 3: Skills
Move on to the next plateau with bar chords and moveable shapes, and build your skills in fingerpicking and flatpicking. Find your own sound and interests.

Guitar 4: Skills
Round out your study of guitar with Travis-style fingerpicking, complex chords and melody playing. Learn to read guitar tablature, while playing a wide variety of musical styles.

Guitar 1: Repertoire
This class is for you if you can play basic open chords or have finished Guitar 1. Here we improve skills. You'll learn lots of great songs, different strums, and a few licks - singing and playing at the same time.

If you are self-taught or have completed Guitar 2, this is the level to repeat as often as you want to build up your own songbag.

Guitar 3: Repertoire
Enhance your knowledge of your guitar neck while learning tunes from a variety of styles - popular and traditional.

Guitar 4Ever
An intermediate level course beyond Guitar 4, with an emphasis on musicianship. Continue to work on playing with others, playing from memory, and creating your own ongoing organic songbag.

Beyond Guitar 3
An ongoing class for those who want to continue guitar studies. This is specifically offered for students at the Armitage location and weekday morning classes at Lincoln. Improve your bar chords and accompaniment styles while building your song bag.
